Work on this project is year round, but the heavy lifting takes place from January to October of every year with planning & prepping in November/December. • Updating Ford and Arts Commission web sites (year round) • Writing copy for press materials, web sites, publications, e-mail blasts and electronic billboard (ongoing & year round) • Liaising with Ford Theatres and other artists & managing deadlines for artists (ongoing & year round) • Assisting in handling press inquiries, press comps lists (ongoing & year round) • Updating press lists and press clipping files (tearsheets and electronic archives) (ongoing & year round) • Assisting in targeted marketing projects (ongoing & year round) • Inventorying and distributing of printed materials (ongoing & year round) • Scanning and resizing images for web and printed materials (ongoing & year round) • Proofreading and organizing files (ongoing & year round) |
Desirable qualifications include
interest in the performing and visual arts; ability to write; familiarity
with web sites, html, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and In Design; background in
journalism/communications/music/dance/visual arts/information technology;
good with detail; good telephone skills; facility with Microsoft Word, Excel,
Power Point, Access, Outlook and Explorer.
Fluency in oral and written Spanish is a plus. Possible majors include but are not limited
to communications, journalism, marketing, public administration, or public
relations. |
The candidate must be able to
utilize tangible and intangible information based on a logical sequence of
events to evaluate, analyze and discern information that will be used to
forge summary opinions on a specific subject matter. Upon selecting a candidate and determining
the amount of time they are available, a project timeline will be developed
that identifies projects that are accomplishable within that given time
frame.
The candidate must be able to present both oral and written
information in a poised, persuasive and professional manner. |
